----[ THE DOCTORAL PROGRAM ]----
Doctor of Clinical Hypnotherapy* | Doctor of Alternative Healing*
Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Hypnotherapy or Esoteric Studies
*These are technical degree programs, similar to Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Chiropractic, and not academic degrees.
 
-----[ GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS ]-----
120 credits are required to earn a degree in the doctoral program. The 120 credits will come from the following:
1. All students wishing to expedite degree requirements should complete the Doctoral Classroom Intensive. The Doctoral Classroom Intensive consists of one full week of class training. [18 credits]
2. All students are required to complete the seven required (100 series) courses @ 3 credits each: [21 credits]
3. In addition to the required courses, each student will complete 18 optional, approved courses of his or her choice @ 3 credits each. [54 credits]
4. Each student will complete a required doctoral thesis. [12 credits]
5. Students will be required to conduct eight documented sessions @ 2 credits each. Hypnotherapy students will submit their sessions on standard audiocassettes. Alternative Healing students will provide documented case studies. [16 credits]
6. Additional optional presentations will earn one credit each.
7. To receive the PhD, the student must complete the technical portion plus submit a minimum 20,000 word original research project dissertation.

Case Documentation: Student must document eight sessions. The DCH Candidate must provide eight audio-taped hypnotherapy sessions, with written case history and evaluation. The DAH student must document eight healing sessions in writing, including case history, healing approach and technique, and preliminary results with follow-up.

Thesis: DCH and DAH candidates must submit a thesis on an approved topic based on the student's primary topic of interest withing the chosen field. The thesis must be at least 2000 words and writtens in the form of an atricle for submission to a practical journal in the chosen field.

Workshop  
In order for a workshop to qualify for credit it muyst be at least two days. The student must submit a paper detailing the workshop and is purpose and value to your work. Student must request propr approval on any workshop given by a Trainer not listed as an Approved Trainer. A maximum of 24 elective credits may come from such workshops.

** Doctoral Classroom Intensives are held several times a year on a regional basis. although it is recommended that this proram be completed early in the educational process, it can be taken at any time prior to graduation.

Note: Because new courses are added ot or deleted from this list from time to time, based on availability of materials and instructors, it is always necessary to dicuss your curriculum plans with your faculty advisor.
