ACCREDITATION
Albert University is a member accredited institute of the Government Accreditation Association of Delaware. If you are seeking a degree to meet specific requirements established by others, to comply with a regulation or to obtain a license, it is suggested that you check with the requiring authority as to their accrediting requisites.

Accreditation can be confusing and is often a misunderstood matter, even by many professional educators. Accreditation on the university level is completely voluntary. There are no laws that dictate a university must be accredited. The information below will help you understand this complex subject. Your Faculty Advisor can answer any other questions you may have on the subject.
There are basically three categories of schools:
UNACCREDITED SCHOOLS simply ignore the whole issue of accreditation. They either do not seek any form of accreditation or cannot qualify.

ACCREDITED NONTRADITIONAL SCHOOLS are accredited by a private organization or internal system. Degrees are generally accepted, especially for business, professional and personal uses. The purpose is to ensure that certain standards are met. These schools grant accredited degrees and transcripts usually indicate an accredited status or carry an accrediting seal. Some schools in this category grant university credits and degrees based on life and work experience. Some do not have residency requirements.

Tuition costs at these schools are usually substantially less than traditional schools. Albert University is in this category.

ACCREDITED TRADITIONAL SCHOOLS are accredited by an accrediting organization which is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education. Almost all traditional schools require classroom attendance and grant no credit for life and work experience. These include most state supported schools, as well as larger religious supported and traditional private schools.
There are excellent, mediocre and poor quality schools found in all three categories.
